The Courtfield Arms is a traditional coaching inn, dating back to 1759. Our warm welcome, with open fires and comfortable seating, allows you to relax and enjoy some of the best food in the county. From Symonds Yat canoe centres, The Courtfield Arms offers a convenient watering hole, as we are just yards from the river Wye.

Currently under new ownership, our head chef Andy Howard, who has recently been awarded the 'Bib-Gourmand' by the Michelin Guide 2008, for his cooking with Marco Pierre White, sources only the freshest local produce, served in a relaxed environment by friendly and efficient staff.

A total refurbishment has taken place internally over the past six months and we are now working on our outside area. The entire building has been painted and a new seating area with parasols, lights and chunky furniture will be added in time for next summer's heat wave!.

Internally our lounge bar has been transformed into a comfortable dining area with open fires, while the bar has been upgraded with low sofas, new furnishings & a 100% efficient flueless log stove.
